Hello everyone,
Exciting news! A dear friend and I have decided to take on the challenge of running a half-marathon. Wondering why? Well, we simply wanted to revive our active lifestyle, immerse ourselves in the great outdoors, and prioritize our physical and mental well-being. And, of course, the ultimate goal is to revel in the joy of it all!
Over the next 5 months, my aim is to effortlessly cover a 22 km run, setting the stage for a lifetime of enjoyable runs. Why? Because it’s liberating, surrounded by nature’s splendor, and a fantastic boon for overall health! I made a personalized training plan crafted with careful consideration and a wealth of research. Key components include designated running days, while High-Intensity Interval Training (HIT) and jump rope sessions are optional but beneficial. If you are interested in the plan, hit me up! By adhering to this plan, you won’t push yourself too hard, allowing your body to acclimate to regular running and longer distances each week. My hope is to not only derive pleasure from running but also achieve the 22 km milestone and keep going strong. As for the group, my only expectation is for everyone to have a blast or find that initial spark to kickstart their running journey! Remember to stay hydrated, indulge in pre-run stretching and warm-ups (including rope jumping), fuel your body adequately, and above all, relish the experience!
